Inside the Galactica is an app based on the television series Battlestar Galactica. This immersive app tells the stories in a transmedia way by experiencing what it's like to be in the presence of the story. The idea of this app was to provide additional story content that wasn't previously exposed in the show, expanding the BG universe for fans to explore and experience.

 

The app was made within 24 hours for the NBC universal story driven content hackathon which took place in Novemever of 2014. It won the Syfy Challenge which gave me and my teammate Anisha Jetwani oppurtunities to develop the app further with NBC universal.

 

My role was to design the interior of the command center. Modeled it after the set from the show. I then lit the and textured the scene in Unity3D. I then provided the Virtual Reality componet by adding an Oculus compatible version for this app, turning it into a VR experience.
